The geneology index numbers listed take two forms. The hyphenated numbers are based upon the system used in the Fortney Family Genealogy Book. This system has proven to be misleading and difficult to use in some cases. Individuals to whom we can not assign a reliable hyphenated index number have been assigned a number of the form A#######. These numbers are used in the Family Tree Tables but do not have specific meaning other than to identify an individual. A new number is assigned to replace hyphenated numbers when errors are identified.

Broken Links usually indicate a portion of the family that is currently being updated. Please be patient and check back in the near furure. If errors persist, send us a note.
